Translations are permitted and encouraged. Translated editions must preserve the standard code (e.g. MBAC 100), reference the English source edition, and indicate the translator. The MBA Council does not verify translation accuracy; the translating institute is accountable for fidelity.

Yes. Institutes may build fee-charging programs on top of the framework. The framework itself remains free of licensing fees, and the Council collects no royalties. Adopting the framework does not grant the right to charge learners for access to the framework document.

No. The MBA Council does not accredit, certify, or audit institutes. The only permissible public claim is “Aligned with the MBA Council Framework.” Any use of the words “certified,” “accredited,” or “approved by” the MBA Council is a misrepresentation and a violation of these terms.

The wordmark “MBA Council” may be used in an editorial, non-endorsing manner (e.g. “follows the MBA Council Framework”). Institutes may not display the MBA Council logo in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or accreditation.

Yes, provided the CC BY-SA 4.0 terms are honored: attribution to the MBA Council, a link to the original publication, and release of the derivative under the same license. The framework text itself cannot be placed behind a paywall or DRM.

Who is liable for outcomes at an adopting institute?

The MBA Council is a publisher, not a guarantor. Legal, academic, and financial accountability for programs delivered under the framework lies entirely with the adopting institute and its enrolled students.
